متن کاملElectromagnetic Form Factors of Meson Transitions
The Dyson-Schwinger equation (DSE) approach [1] to non-perturbative QCD modeling of hadrons and their interactions [2] combines truncated QCD equations of motion for propagators and vertices with infrared phenomenology fitted to a few key low-energy observables. Parameter-free predictions for other hadron properties and observables are then used to develop and test our understanding of hadron p...
متن کاملMeson Clouds and Nucleon Electromagnetic Form Factors
In contrast with common non-relativistic lore, the usual Sachs form factors are not the Fourier transforms of charge or magnetization densities. Instead, the two-dimensional Fourier transform of the electromagnetic F1 form factor is the charge charge density of partons in the transverse plane. An analysis of the available data for neutron form factors leads to the result that the neutron charge...
متن کاملSoft Qcd Modeling of Meson Electromagnetic Form Factors
We summarize recent progress in soft QCD modeling based on the set of Dyson– Schwinger equations truncated to ladder-rainbow level. We pay particular attention to electromagnetic elastic and transition form factors of the pion. This covariant approach accommodates quark confinement and implements the QCD one-loop renormalization group behavior. The dressed quark propagators are compared to the ...
متن کاملRatio of the proton electromagnetic form factors from meson dressing
The dressed K-matrix model, developed previously for lowand intermediate-energy Compton scattering, is generalized to calculate the photon-nucleon vertex with a virtual photon and an off-shell nucleon. This model was used to compute the ratio of the proton electromagnetic form factors. The calculated ratio is in excellent agreement with the ratio measured in polarized electron-proton scattering.
